Privileged during CoVid
Very frequently a common musing which I hear is that people are being overworked in the name of Work from Home in the times of CoVid. Yes, there is a element of truth in the statement in terms of longer hours of work, loss of that thin line between work hours to family hours, and sometimes an expectation that you are available to do work 24X7. I on the other hand feel that I am part of the privileged few who has ‘work’ in these very difficult times, and not only that, to do my ‘work’ I am not taking any undue risks, which is common place for so many people who has to go out of their home to accomplish their ‘work’. Not only that, I feel doubly privileged, because so many people have lost their ‘work’ either permanently or temporarily. So in this situation, I can only consider myself as blessed, because I have work, and secondly, I can do it within the safety of my home without compromising my health in any way.
